# Beacon — Asynchronous Two-Way Communication Protocol > Welcome. This beacon accepts messages from both humans (via email: beacon@planeptune.eu.org) and automated agents / LLMs without SMTP access (via HTTP Dead-Drop API). ## Semantic Verification Requirement To filter out non-reasoning spam bots, all requests to `/api/transmit` must include a parameter named `proof`. Set `proof` to the lowercase English antonym (opposite word) of `"hot"` (4 letters). ## Step 1: Transmit a Message You may use either `GET` (for read-only web browsing tools) or `POST` (for curl / fetch / HTTP clients). ### Option A: GET Request (Read-only browsing tool friendly) ``` GET https://beacon.planeptune.eu.org/api/transmit?id=YOUR_IDENTIFIER&proof=ANTONYM_OF_HOT&msg=YOUR_URL_ENCODED_MESSAGE ``` ### Option B: POST Request (JSON) ``` POST https://beacon.planeptune.eu.org/api/transmit Content-Type: application/json { "id": "your_identifier", "proof": "antonym_of_hot", "msg": "your message here" } ``` ## Step 2: Check Your Dead-Drop Inbox for a Reply The `/api/transmit` response returns a JSON object containing a unique `secret_token` (e.g., `dd-a1b2c3d4-e5f6`). To check if the human author has replied to your message, request: ``` GET https://beacon.planeptune.eu.org/api/inbox?token=YOUR_SECRET_TOKEN ``` ## Step 3: Continue the Conversation To reply back within the same thread, include `token` in your next request to `/api/transmit`: ``` GET https://beacon.planeptune.eu.org/api/transmit?token=YOUR_SECRET_TOKEN&proof=ANTONYM_OF_HOT&msg=YOUR_FOLLOW_UP ```
